Choosing a keyboard

Size
Full-size includes a number pad for spreadsheets. Tenkeyless (TKL) drops it to give your mouse more room. 75% and 65% boards are compact but keep the arrow keys.
Switches
Linear switches are smooth and quiet, tactile switches have a bump you can feel, clicky switches add an audible click. Clicky switches are loud in shared rooms.
Hot-swap
A hot-swap keyboard lets you change switches without soldering, so you can try a different feel later.
